The Navy Supply Corps School

In 1921 in Washington DC, Supply Corps Officer training was first established as the Navy Supply Corps School of Application. However, after only three years, the school was closed. The Naval Finance and Supply School was opened in Philadelphia in September 1934. After less than one year, reserve and active Supply Corps Officer training merged, creating the Navy Supply Corps School at the Harvard University Business School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Almost ten years later, the Naval Supply Operational Training Center was established in Bayonne, New Jersey. It quickly outgrew its facilities and, through the efforts of U.S. Senator Richard B. Russell, Jr. and U.S. Representative Carl Vinson, the school was moved to Athens, Georgia in 1954.

For 57 years, the Navy Supply Corps School has trained countless officers, DoD civilians, and international military members in the art of logistics and business management. The Navy Supply Corps School provides professional development through logistics, administrative, and media training for Department of Defense and international personnel. The end of training does not mean the end of contact. We are a Corps, and we strive to maintain active involvement in our people's career development throughout their tours in the Navy. You can visit our Facebook page by clicking this link.
